Guests
Types of access
Last verified: October 4, 2026When you invite a guest, the When can they come? step controls exactly when they can get into your community. On Android the step is titled “What kind of access should this person have?”. Pick one of three options. You can change it later from Edit guest access.
| Option | When your guest can get in | You set | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Always | Any day, any time, from the start you choose. It never expires, but you can revoke it anytime. | Start date and Time | Family and close friends |
| Temporary | Only between a start and an end. | Start date, Time, End date, Time | Short-term guests, or a vendor working on your home for a few days |
| Recurring | Only on the days you choose, starting right away with no end date. With All day access on (the default), any time on those days. With it off, only between From and Until. | The days (Mo to Su), and the times if All day access is off | Your pool or landscaping company |
If your guest tries to get in outside their schedule, the gate won’t open for them.
On the review screen, Android calls the first option Always (24/7). In a guest’s details, it shows as Anytime access, next to Temporary access and Recurring access.
If you’re renting
If you’re a tenant, your guests’ access must fall within your rental period. SAGE won’t create an invite with dates outside it.
