Basics
Dashboard
Last verified: October 3, 2026This guide is for the SAGE app (version 3) and management portal you use today. See the guide for the new apps.
The Dashboard shows your community’s access log: the entry attempts SAGE records at your gates, both allowed and denied. New entries appear at the top on their own while the page is open, so you don’t need to refresh.
You need the Org Dashboard permission to see the Dashboard menu.
Read the access log
Entries are grouped by day, newest first. Each day’s heading shows how many events it holds and how many were denied. Scroll down to load older entries.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Time | When the attempt happened. |
| Person | Who it was, when SAGE knows. |
| Location | The gate or entry point. |
| Method | How they tried to get in, for example LPR (license plate), Code, Access Key, Call, Guard or the type of device used. |
| Decision | Authorized or Denied. |
Click an entry to open its details, such as the device or code used, the unit, and for license plate reads the camera images when they’re available. Click it again to close it.
Filter the log
Filters apply as soon as you change them.
- Access Type - The method, for example Call, Access Key, LPR, Code or a device type.
- Access Result - Success or Failure.
- Property - One unit, by address.
- Occupant - One resident, by name.
- Panel and Reader - One gate panel, then one of its readers. These appear only when your community’s panels are set up in SAGE. Reader appears after you pick a panel.
Click Show more for three more filters:
- Plate Number - The full license plate. Spaces are ignored. Partial plates don’t match.
- From and To - A date and time range.
Click Reset to clear every filter.
Some filter combinations can’t be searched. If you see “Couldn’t load access logs for this filter”, try fewer filters or add a date range.
Export to CSV
- Set the filters you want. The export includes every entry that matches them, not just the ones loaded on screen.
- Click the download icon (CSV Export) at the end of the filter row.
The file has these columns: Access Time, Access Type, Plate Number, Company, First Name, Last Name, Role, Event and Success. If no entries match, the page tells you and nothing is downloaded.
Device health alerts
If any of your community’s devices are reporting a problem, a Device health banner appears above the access log. It says how many devices need your attention and what kind they are. Click Check device health to see them on the Access Control page.
