Unit guests, visitors and invites

Three tabs on a unit page cover the people connected to the unit who aren’t occupants: Guests, Visitors and Invited. Changing anything on them needs the Manage Occupants permission.

Guests

The Guests tab lists people who accepted a guest invitation to this unit, with their Name, Phone and Status (Active, Suspended, or Administrative Suspension when SAGE has suspended them). It only appears when guest invites are turned on for your community.

Open a guest’s actions menu (the three dots at the end of the row) for these options:

Action	What it does
Make Occupant	Turns the guest into an occupant of the unit.
Make Tenant	Rental units only. Turns the guest into a tenant.
Suspend / Unsuspend	Pauses the guest’s access to this unit, or restores it. SAGE asks you to confirm.
Delete	Removes the guest’s access to this unit. SAGE asks you to confirm.

Visitors

A visitor is someone a resident has added to their list by name, or by company name, without inviting them to the SAGE app. Visitors don’t get the app. Visitors show up in the guard tablet app’s people search, so gate staff can find them.

The Visitors tab lists the unit’s visitors with their Name and Status (Active or Suspended). Residents add visitors themselves. From the portal you can open a visitor’s actions menu to Suspend them or Delete them from the list.

Invited

The Invited tab lists open invitations to this unit for occupants, tenants and guests, whether you sent them or a resident did. Each row shows the Name, Phone, Type (occupant, tenant or guest) and Status:

• Awaiting approval - The invitation needs a manager’s approval before it is sent.
• Invite sent - The person has been sent the invitation and hasn’t accepted yet.

Open a row’s actions menu for these options:

• Approve - Only for Awaiting approval. Sends the person their invitation.
• Delete - Cancels the invitation.
