Edit guest access

Last verified: October 4, 2026

This guide is for the SAGE app (version 3) and management portal you use today. See the guide for the new apps.

You can change a guest’s schedule, pause their access, or remove them at any time. Your guests are listed on the Guests tab of the home screen.

Change or pause a guest’s access

  1. Open the guest - On the home screen, tap the Guests tab, then tap the guest’s name. The screen is called Guest on iPhone and Edit Guest on Android.
  2. Change the schedule - Under Access Schedule, switch between Always, Temporary and Recurring, and update the dates or times. See Types of access.
  3. Pause access (optional) - Turn on Suspend property access (iPhone) or Suspend Access (Android). Their access stops until you turn it off again. You don’t have to delete them.
  4. Save - Tap Save Changes. On iPhone, if you suspended the guest, confirm with Confirm. You’ll see “Changes saved successfully.” on iPhone or “Guest updated successfully” on Android.

You can’t change a guest’s first or last name. You can change the company name.

Delete a guest

Open the guest and tap Delete Guest, then confirm. iPhone asks “Do You Really Want to Remove Guest?” (tap Remove). Android asks “Are you sure you want to remove this guest? This action cannot be undone.” (tap Delete). The guest loses access to your property. To give them access again, invite them again.

Guests who haven’t accepted yet

A guest who hasn’t accepted their invite shows as Invited. You can’t edit a pending invite, only delete it. Tap the guest, then:

iPhoneAndroid
Tap Delete, then RemoveTap Delete on “Are you sure you want to delete this guest invite?”

Visitors

Guests you added without a digital access key show as Visitor. You can change a visitor’s schedule and suspend or delete them the same way, and you can also edit their name. The screen is called Visitor on iPhone and Edit Visitor on Android, and the button is Delete Visitor.

On iPhone, some accounts that haven’t verified their identity, such as tenants, can’t edit guests until they verify. This applies whether your community requires verification or only recommends it. Residents aren’t affected, and visitors can still be edited. When it applies, the guest screen shows a banner at the bottom to start verification.
